Dr. Allison Egan – Naturopathic Doctor
Dr. Allison Egan is a licensed Naturopathic physician in the state of Montana. In 2016 she completed her residency with Arthritis Care PC and The Center for Integrative Wellness. She graduated with a doctorate in naturopathic medicine from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM), in Portland Oregon, in 2015. Prior to becoming a naturopathic doctor she received her bachelor of science from Oregon State University in exercise and sport science. Understanding the role physical activity and nutrition can play in disease processes fueled her desire to learn even more about the root cause of disease and prevention, and ultimately lead her to pursue naturopathic medicine. During her clinical training at NCNM, Dr. Egan completed multiple clinical rotations in naturopathic primary care, women’s health and IV therapy at NCNM; as well as a six-month rotation in cardiology at the Center for Natural Medicine.
Patient Centered Functional Medicine
Dr. Egan believes strongly in the holistic approach to medicine; integrating nutritional and lifestyle counseling, herbal medicine, and physical medicine to provide individualized patient centered care. Patient education is the backbone of her practice; Dr. Egan enjoys not only teaching her patients about their bodies, and how they function, but also how simple lifestyle changes can result in lasting treatment or prevention of disease. In her free time Dr. Egan is an outdoor enthusiast, she spent 11 years leading backpacking and river trips in Glacier National Park. As well as being an avid cyclist, downhill skier and self-proclaimed gym rat, she also spends time pursuing her artistic side crocheting and painting. She is looking forward to exploring the Lansing area and all that Michigan has to offer.
