Lansing, Michigan In-Office Appointments
Dr. Nicholas Morgan is currently accepting new patients and the wait is less than 2 weeks. Prior to the first appointment, you should complete the Intake Forms and gather medical records from other appointments. During the first appointment, a thorough history and review of previous labs and imaging will be performed. Patients will always leave the first appointment with a Treatment Plan which includes several recommendations.
Virtual/Telemedicine Appointments
Virtual or telemedicine consultations are utilized in place of in-office visits for patients who live long distances from our office in Lansing, Michigan. If you are a new patient and are planning to schedule a telephone or telehealth consultation with Dr. Nicholas Morgan, the following is required for your appointment. All medical records pertinent to the patient’s diagnosis or disorder are required to be sent to our offices via fax or mail. The Consent for Naturopathic Treatment must be read thoroughly, signed, and mailed or faxed back to our offices with the patient’s medical records. Fees for a new patient telephone consultation are billed at the rate of $40.00 per 15-minute increment of time. For Telehealth appointments Dr. Morgan uses the Zoom app. This app is compatible with Windows, Apple, and mobile devices. If you are new to using Zoom please give yourself 5-10 minutes before the appointment to log in.
Follow-up Appointments
Follow up visits are usually scheduled 6-10 weeks out if deemed necessary. This will allow sufficient time for all laboratory testing to be completed and returned to our office for your follow-up visit. Consultation fees for follow-up appointments and telephone/Skype consultations are $40.00 per 15 minute increment of time. If you need to cancel your appointment, we require 24 hours notice or there will be a missed appointment fee of $50.00.
Fee Structure
Option A – Pay as you go
With option A you pay as you go. The rate is $40 for every 15 minutes. The first appointment is usually 1-1.5 hours and averages $200. Follow up appointments are 15-45 minutes and average about $80. This works well for patients that do not need frequent visits. Usually they come in 2-3 times a year and spend less than $500 dollars a year.
Option B – Wellness Recovery Member
Option B is new and was created for patients that need more frequent visits. Patients become a Wellness Recovery Member. The first visit is $170, then you pay a monthly fee of $70 dollars which allows for up to 2 short visits a month to discuss everything from medical visits to progress with lifestyle changes.
Insurance and Billing
Because Michigan does not license Naturopathic Doctors insurance providers are not obligated to cover our services. Fortunately if your employer offers Health Saving Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), we can use those as forms of payment. Also, some insurances reach out to Dr. Morgan because they want to provide naturopathic medicine to their clients.
Forms of Payment
Our office is on a fee-for-service basis. Payment is expected in full at the time of each visit. As stated earlier in this letter, our office does not accept insurance. Forms of payment are HSA/FSA, cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and Venmo. An Easy Pay Consent Form is available for download via our website.
